Damián Cortés Alberti

I was born in Argentina where I studied three years of acting in the National University of Cordoba. Later I changed my focus to dance and I studied at the Colon Theatre, ArteXXI school for contemporary dance and the National Institute of Arts in Buenos Aires. Simultaneously I learn Tango Argentino and violin. I’ve danced in numerous companies such as “El Escote“, Ballet de Bolsillo, Ballet IUNA and Ballet Neoclásico de Buenos Aires.

In 2005 I joined the Ballet Contemporáneo del Teatro San Martín Buenos Aires. From 2009 to 2010 I was part of the Company “Art Trànsit Dansa” directed by choreographer Maria Rovira in Barcelona, Spain. During seasons 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, I was part of “Tanztheaterensemble des Staatstheaters Darmstadt”, Darmstadt, Germany; directed by Mei Hong Lin, and then I moved to “Ballet Linz”, Linz, Austria; directed by Mei Hong Lin.
