Miriam Bonaccorso & Company

Miriam Bonaccorso develops a research path in the field of contemporary performing arts, with a particular focus on contemporary dance and its integration with other expressive languages. Her work stems from an in-depth exploration of gesture, body dynamics, and their fusion with choreographic language, creating pieces in which the body becomes a space for transformation, connection, and storytelling.

Among her most significant works is “L’altra parte di me” (2024), her first creation, realized both as a theatrical performance and as a dance film. The work won the COSIDANZI8 artistic residency in Rome, with a final presentation at the Teatro del Lido di Ostia as part of the Giovane Danza d’Autore festival, and was selected for the Anima Mundi event during the Venice Biennale of Art. For the 2024/2025 season, the piece was included in the program at Teatro della Polvere in Foggia (with a performance on March 15, 2025) and scheduled on August 2, 2025, for the contemporary dance series at Teatro in Stalla in Ostia Antica. The short dance film version received a special mention at the LensDance Festival in Barcelona and was selected for the Manifest Dance Film Festival in Pondicherry, India, strengthening the project’s international trajectory.

The new creation “Sleep Effect” (2025 – work in progress) features choreography by Miriam Bonaccorso and performances by Marco Varriale and Renè Ferro. The first phase of study took place at the Mamadanse center in Turin, and the project will continue with an artistic residency at RedSapata in Linz in 2026. The work has already been selected in study form for the Festival SottoVenere 2025, the POSE festival for emerging artists (CAP10100, Turin – November 2025), and Progetto Alma 2026.

Miriam Bonaccorso’s research investigates the body as an expressive and political tool, the relationship between gesture, space, and time, and the construction of an original and recognizable choreographic language. Her creations are conceived for the stage, audiovisual formats, and urban environments, promoting the circulation and dissemination of the works both nationally and internationally.
