Saya Abe

Saya Abe is a Japanese dancer and choreographer.

she begun her baton twirling and dance training when she was little, and won the Grand Prix with her high school baton team.After the graduating from high school,she moved to New York to study at BROADWAY DANCE CENTER.

she was a company dancer of Sytheises Dance.

After moving back to Japan, she has been won many awards in national and overseas contests including " VIBE Dance Competition 3rd place" and "Legend Tokyo judge's special Award".

Also she has been actively performing at various venues such as theatrical performances,Music Videos and events.

2016,she moved to Berlin. She learned GAGA ,Body and Mind Centering. She participated in performance project "guided by sensation by lyar Elezra"

As an educator, Saya has been coaching for Baton Twilling Club of Ritsumeikan University, and Baton team SHIN.

She is also organizing many events with her art/dance group AMBER, which is an immersive performance events that audience are able to paint while dancing, aiming to encourage people to feel their own creative self.

As a member of the Vrijheid Global Art Community in 2025, I conducted workshops in Athens and Linz.

In addition, I participated in an artist residency program in three cities—Athens, Linz, and Almada—in preparation for Expo 2025 Osaka, where the resulting work was presented in April.

She is currently active both in Japan and internationally.
