The AlgoRhythm Within
Project/Residency Timeframe:
January-February 2026
The research project “The AlgoRhythm Within: Touch Me Where I Don’t Exist” explored the relationship between embodied movement, affective materialities, and multisensory spatial environments. Through a series of studio-based experiments, we investigated how textures, light, sound, and everyday architectural structures can be transformed into responsive landscapes that stimulate sensory perception and embodied awareness. The project was developed in collaboration with visual and conceptual artist Lefteris Kastrinakis, movement and performance artist Athena Androulidaki, and architect and natural material researcher Dina Danesi, who contributed to material experimentation, movement research, and spatial exploration. The research also welcomed guest artistic contributions from Yoyos Styl, AI artist and theatre performer/director, who participated in experimental sessions exploring rhythm, perception, and performative interaction with the constructed environments. The residency led to an experimental, performative installation and research process, investigating how sensory interaction with materials and space can activate micro-sensory awareness, facilitate playful experimentation, and foster new forms of embodied spatial imagination.
