“a practice of freedom” is a performance art piece rooted in movement/dance, sonic exploration, and live music. Carmel is an expressive, inspired and revered musician, violinist, composer and performer. They curated the sonic pieces of this work. Kay is a curious and convicted performer, mover and interdisciplinary artist, who uses their body/voice as their main tools of creation. “a practice of freedom” explores themes of home, family, liberation, our historical lineages and ancestral realities. “a practice of freedom” is an artistic, immersive and experimental collaborative performance works that transmute time and place. a piece of work seeking to honour and speak to the cycles of liberatory movements across time.
