Der Bartgeier

Project/Residency Timeframe:

02. - 20.09.2024

Project description:

The theme of this piece is unquestioned traditions; how they affect us, and whether we can escape from them.  To illustrate said theme, we use the figure of a Bearded Vulture ("Bartgeier" in German), a species of bird of prey on the brink of extinction, telling the story of a newly hatched chick and following its life until it grows old enough to leave the nest.

The premiere and two additional shows will take place at the Kristallwerk in Graz, as part of the event "Unfolding Shapes" organised by Filip Löbl on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of November 2024.
