Two characters on a raft in a journey of creating a folk dance for no-folk, shedding away the concepts of nationality that, in the context of the blood-soaked Mediterranean and the ongoing crises they originate from, they see as utterly destructive. This leads them to face difficult questions about their identity as dancers, as women in the digital era, as human beings experiencing a deep rupture in their notions of home and belonging.
The work weaves movement, text, video and an actual raft, in a surreal stage language, at once poetic and absurd.
